Today's passage is from the Gospel of Mark 16:15-20. The Gospel of Mark 16:15-20. May we all hear the voice of our living God as we read through the word of Revelation. And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe in my name. They will cast out demons. They will speak in new tongues. They will pick up serpents with their hands. And if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them. They will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover. So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs. Amen.
So we actually do missionary work in this very strong Muslim land, and we also have two orphanages as well as a church that we serve. I am the one who also became a pastor through the Kangnam church assembly. And so now I was the pastor. Now I'm the missionary. And now it's been already 47 years since I served as a pastor and missionary. In that time, God has shown me so many miracles. Before coming for this sermon, I wrote down how many miracles I've actually experienced. I realized it was more than 120. So that much of a blessing has He given me and shown me on the missionary fields. There are so many surprising things, amazing things happening.
When I first went to Indonesia, I think the Christian population was only around 2 or 3%, but right now, in a conservative way, I think 20% of the entire population are Christians. So that amazing history is happening in Indonesia. God is not just standing there, just waiting. He is not a static one who just waits. God is not trapped in our logic. But if we adventure with faith, if we go to the Lord very closely, then God will come to us. He will show us His presence.
