We were dead in our transgressions, but by God's grace, we have been made alive with Christ. This grace transforms our lives and gives us a new identity.
5. even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
God has made us alive together with Christ and seated us in heavenly places. We must fight against the attacks of evil spirits through spiritual warfare and grow our faith through prayer. In this process, God renews our identity and connects us to heaven through prayers of unity. Ultimately, when our focus shifts from material things to God's kingdom and will, God answers our prayers and grants us victory.

What is the core message of Ephesians 2:5 and 6 discussed in the sermon?
Ephesians 2:5 and 6 emphasize that we have died and been resurrected with Christ, explaining our identity as seated with Him in the heavenly places.
The word of God given to us at this time is from Ephesians 2:5-6. The New Testament Ephesians 2:5-6. As I read this revelation, I hope that all of you can hear the voice of the living God. He made us alive together with Christ, by grace you have been saved. And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Amen. Hallelujah.
[Clears throat] About eight years ago, a certain believer who visited our mission field made a large donation for the construction of our church building. At that time, we were worshiping in a small building in a town. [Sigh] Coincidentally, in a nearby rural village, about a 25-minute drive away, the village chief offered to donate his land if a church was built there. We gathered the donations we received and started the construction with the funds from our church. Our plan at that time was to move the church that was renting in the town to a new church building.
But one day, when the church construction was about 70% complete, about ten soldiers, high-ranking officers, came to the construction site. Later, we learned that the land donated by the chief was not his land but had already been expropriated by the government, and that area was already registered as state property. Furthermore, all the land was designated for a military camp. However, the chief was building his own house and a private residence there, knowing this fact, because the compensation issue had not been resolved. The military officers told us that we could not use that land, so we had to stop construction and continued to worship in the church located in the town.
